Arctic Circle Aurora Fly Drive Adventure - Southbound

Fly from Fairbanks to Coldfoot, north of the Arctic Circle in the Brooks Mountain Range. The flight provides an aerial view of the vast Alaska wilderness. Upon landing you will meet a guide from Coldfoot Camp who will provide an orientation of where you are and life in Alaska's Arctic.
Ground tour south with your Coldfoot Camp guide on the Dalton Highway made famous during the construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline.
Cross the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.
Here you will meet a guide with Northern Alaska Tour Company who will continue your tour south on the Dalton Highway.

Travel the rugged Dalton Highway made famous by the construction of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.
Cross the Arctic Circle in ceremonious fashion and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.
Witness firsthand the remarkable wilderness, which is Alaska's Arctic.
Stop along the shores of the mighty Yukon River.
Stop in Joy Alaska at the Arctic Circle Trading Post which will become your stop for scanning the darkened skies for the Aurora. The location is 60 miles outside of Fairbanks away from the city lights.
Stay out around Solar Midnight, the time the scientists have determined are the most active in Alaska's Arctic.

MEALS: Food is not included; however, you can bring your own or during the check in process you can order lunch from Coldfoot Camp (Menu as of 11/7/2025) and for dinner from the Yukon River Camp Noodle House (Menu as of 11/7/2025). Again, you do not pre-order. You order during check in.

Recommendations: For any of our adventures into Alaska's Arctic we recommend planning to arrive in Fairbanks the night prior to joining us and stay in Fairbanks the night returning with us. If you are delayed arriving into Fairbanks and miss your tour departure that equals a non-refundable cancellation. We will do our best to see if there is an alternate available for you; however, there is no guarantee of an equal replacement nor is the tour refundable if missed.
