Tour Summary

The Arctic Ocean Adventure is a 3 day / 2 night journey into Alaska's Arctic.  There are two options to choose from: Northbound and Southbound.  With the Northbound (leaving on Wednesday and Sunday) you ground tour north first and return by air or with the Southbound (leaving on Friday and Tuesday) you fly north first and return to Fairbanks by guided ground tour.

 

Arctic Ocean Adventure - Southbound

DAY 1 - Fly north from Fairbanks north across Alaska's Arctic.  Land in Deadhorse and get settled into your accommodations at Deadhorse Camp. Visit the Prudhoe Bay oil fields and begin the journey by dipping your toe in the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean. Overnight Deadhorse Camp

DAY 2 - Ground tour south in the personalized comfort of our tour vans on the rugged Dalton Highway. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra of the Arctic Coastal Plain and feel the veins of ice just beneath the surface. Climb through the majestic Brooks Mountain Range and over the Continental Divide at Atigun Pass.  Make your way to Coldfoot for your second night stay. Overnight Coldfoot Camp.

DAY 3 - Visit the historic goldmining community of Wiseman. Continue your ground tour south. Stop at the official Arctic Circle sign and celebrate your northern crossing. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post situated in the rural community of Joy, Alaska. 

SCHEDULE - Southbound

Departs by air at 8:30 am DAY 1 by ground tour; returns by ground tour at approximately 7:00 - 8:00 pm on DAY 3

Arctic Ocean Adventure - Northbound

DAY 1 - Ground tour north in the personalized comfort of our tour vans. Visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post situated in the rural community of Joy, Alaska. Travel the rugged Dalton Highway. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland's most famous waterway and learn of the river's storied past. Cross over the Arctic Circle and receive an Official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Overnight at rustic Coldfoot Camp.    

DAY 2 - Visit the historic goldmining community of Wiseman. Climb through the majestic Brooks Mountain Range and over the Continental Divide at Atigun Pass. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra of the Arctic Coastal Plain and feel the veins of ice just beneath the surface. Overnight in Deadhorse Camp. 

DAY 3 - Visit the Prudhoe Bay oil fields and complete the journey by dipping your toe in the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean. Return to Fairbanks by air.

Departs by land at 8:30 am DAY 1 by ground tour; returns by air approximately 12:30 - 4:00 pm on DAY 3
